The
back-breaking work of pruning old vineyards in Australia's Clare Valley. This
photo was taken
in September, just before the new shoots start emerging. It's often a good idea
to leave
pruning as late as possible, as this can delay the emergence of new buds
and thus reduce
the risk of frost damage to the tender new growth.
