Great Riesling tasting
Ask a wine writer what their favourite white grape is, and they'll likely say Riesling. It is one of the world's great white grapes, yet these days it is widely misunderstood and generally unloved by consumers.
Whether you are a fan, or one of the unconverted wondering what all the fuss is about, an opportunity not to be missed is the Great Riesling Tasting which will be held in March. Organized by a number of UK importers, it offers consumers the chance to taste Riesling from around 40 different estates in Australia, Austria, Germany, New Zealand, South Africa and the USA.
It looks like a great opportunity to taste a wide range of high quality wines from this grape, and at £10 a ticket, this looks like a bargain. I'll definitely be going.
