Snowy Denbies

Couple of shots from Denbies vineyard, near Dorking. These were taken before my meeting there this morning about the International Sparkling Wine Symposium we are holding there next month (see http://www.sparklingwinesymposium.com/).

Hello Jamie,

Nice shots. Have visited Denbys this summer, see report here:

It is such an easy vineyard to visit too, e.g. you can get off the train and walk 10 minutes. Good food, good drink - then again I am a red lover, so maybe more for white/sparkling.

Cheers and thanks for your blog!

Volker

Hi Jamie
Love the photos from Denbies - would love to post them up on to the English Wine Producers website - all accrediation to you? I've got an old photo from Denbies in the snow that's my desktop background but it's not nearly as picturesque as yours!
best regards
Julia - EWP

just wondering--will the unexpected snowfall have much of an effect on this year's grape crop?

Volker - like your 'vineyard'!

Julia - feel free to

The snowfall and cold temperatures are actually quite welcome in the vineyard during winter - reduces potential pest problems
