Quick update from Napa
I'm sitting in the public library at St Helena. It's the only internet connection I can find and the library closes in five minutes, so I'll be brief.
I arrived in Napa yesterday evening, and had a lovely dinner at Cain, followed today by visits to Schramsberg, Corison and Saintsbury. This evening I'mm meeting Steve Lagier and Carole Meredith for dinner in Yountville.
The weather is fantastic and I'm really enjoying my trip.

Try to grab a burger at Martini House, only in the basement bar during dinner. It's really fantastic. Rob has a great list too.
I'm a cook at Martini House, and true our burger is delicious. We're also just getting into winter mushroom season which means local cepes, chanterelles, maitakes, and my favorite cauliflower mushrooms. Rob has an amazing list with wines from nearly every region in the world. He'll be back on Wednesday. Come in and Say Hi!
