Glaetzer The Bishop Shiraz 1999 Barossa
Intense, rich, tarry nose with smooth ripe fruit showing spicy
complexity. The palate is rich and spicy with some evolution. IT’s a
big wine but not inelegant. Rich and stylish. Very good/excellent

palate. Very good+ 86/100

Minerally edge to the lemony fruit on the nose. Juicy, fresh,
almost grassy palate. Very good+ 87/100
Chardonnay 2002
Pronounced nuttiness to the fresh, fruity, toasty nose. Smoky
edge. Nice oak here with fresh, asssertive fruit and good acidity on
the palate. Very good+ 89/100
Forres Blend 2000
A Bordeaux blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a bit of Merlot
and some Petit Verdot. Deep coloured. Intense savoury fruit with a
nice spicy edge and good acidity. Quite a striking wine but it works
very well. Very good+ 87/100
Kester Shiraz 2001
Intense, savoury, slightly medicinal nose. Very quirky. The palate
is savoury and medicinal with a spicy character and vivid acidity.
Very unusual, old-fashioned style, but I like it. Very good+ 87/100
Kester Shiraz 2000
Rounded, berrish old-fashioned nose. Lovely midweight palate with
savoury, roasted berry fruit. Not particularly showy and quite old
fashioned. Very good+ 87/100
