13.5% alcohol. This is Chenin Blanc from 30 year old vines. 80% on slopes and 20% on the plateau. Some red clay with a limestone subsoil close to the surface, and some heavier clay with the limestone deeper down. Low yields of 30 hl/ha. Classic Chenin nose with fresh lemons, apples, pear and some honey. On the palate it’s dry with good concentration and a stony/mineral edge to the pear and apple fruit, with lovely precision and a long, fine finish. Has drinkability with no rough edges, but also an intriguing mineral dimension with a nice acid line. 93/100 (UK agent Deja Bu Wines)
