Bianka and Daniel Schmitt, making impressive natural wines in Rheinhessen, Germany

I tasted these wines with Bianka Schmitt at the VinNatur festival in Paris, November 2025. The winery has been in Daniel’s family for five generations, and they took over 13 years ago. She’s from Hungary, and they were both trained as winemakers. Since 2012, their vineyards have grown from 12 hectares to 26, and they farm them biodynamically. Winemaking is natural, and they don’t have any stainless steel in their winery.
