Apehelion: Grenache specialists from Australia’s McLaren Vale

Website: https://aphelionwine.com.au/

Based in McLaren Vale, Aphelion is a Grenache specialist micro-negociant. It was started by Rob and Lou Mack, and they began in 2014 when they moved to McLaren Vale from Sydney. For the first few years they just did a couple of tons, but buoyed by some good reviews for their early efforts, they crushed 19 tons in 2017 and Aphelion was fully launched. These are beautiful wines, and show why McLaren Vale Grenache is a big thing right now.
