Highlights: Domaine Ostertag ‘Les Jardins’ Riesling 2018 Alsace
Biodynamic since 1997, André Ostertag is one of the stars of the Alsace wine region. Since 2017, he’s handed over reins to his son Arthur, and this 2018 Riesling is the real deal. It really won me over with its balance and purity.

Biodynamic farming. From Andre Ostertag’s vineyards André’s estate vineyards around Epfig, this is lively pure and nicely rounded with a lovely citrus core. There’s a crystalline edge to the fruit. Very fine and linear with nice texture and purity. Plenty of interest here. Affordable deliciousness. 92/100 (from the wine list at Mampuku, Bordeaux)
