The wines of Allram, Kamptal, Austria

Website: https://www.allram.at/en/

Allram are well located in the Kamptal, and have Riesling and Grüner Veltliner in some of the top vineyards: Heiligenstein, Gaisberg and Renner.

They have 30 hectares of vines and are based in the village of Strass. Since 2015 the third generation, Lorenz Haas-Allram and his sister Magdalena, have been in charge, and are converting the vineyards to organics.

Lorenz makes the wine and has experience working in Pfalz, Styria, New Zealand, South Africa and Wachau, so he brings a blend of new world and old world thinking to his vinification.

The results are really impressive.
