Highlights: two wines from Frederick Stevenson in South Australia

Frederick Stevenson is a naturally oriented winegrower in South Australia, and I tried these two wines from him.

Frederick Stevenson Chardonnay 2022 Adelaide Hills, Australia
12.8% alcohol. From a single site in the Picadilly Valley. Lively, energetic and mineral with lovely acidity. Juicy, refined and crystalline with a touch of salinity. This shows great precision. 94/100

Frederick Stevenson Marsanne Roussanne 2023 Barossa, Australia
12.4% alcohol. There’s a tiny bit of Riesling in the blend, too. 2-4 days skin contact depending on the parcel. This is textural and tangy with bright acidity. Mineral and focused with a chalky edge to the fruit, and nice precision. Very fine. 94/100
