Enmill Field Mineral Geo Surfaces Col Fondo 2022/23 Wiltshire, England
This is a brand new wine, and it’s a collaboration between Ben Adams and Dan and Nicola Ham in Wiltshire (who make Offbeat Wines and Domaine Hugo). This is 60% 2022 and 40% 2023. Fermentation in used oak for a year, then bottled with no additions except for some juice for the second fermentation. Lightly fizzy and beautifully textured with nice acidity and bold flavours of pear, apple and lemons with a beautiful salty, mineral framing. It’s vinous and delicious with amazing complexity and depth. So exciting to find a wine like this at a good price. The UK natural wine scene is getting interesting. 93/100
