This is a really nice white old vine field blend from Lafoes, a small region tucked in the corner of the Dão wine region in Portugal.

13% alcohol. Arinto, Cerceal and Dona Branco grapes, plus 10 other varieties, 80 year old vines. Granitic soils with some schist outcrops. Aged in stainless steel. This has a savoury, waxy edge to the pear and citrus fruit with some stony minerality. This is such an intriguing wine with some honey, a hint of fiberglass/glue (not as bad as it sounds) and then lovely tension and acidity, but always staying broad and generous. This is a lovely wine. 93/100
