Paros Farming Community, an interesting concept from this island in the Cyclades

Paros is one of the islands in the Cyclades, and this is a really interesting cooperative winery that brings together 30 grape growers on this small Greek island. The project began in 1929 when the farmers came together to make a cooperative. Just 60 000 bottles are made annually from vineyards that go up to 700 m in altitude. Many of the vines here are grown on the floor as a sort of vine rug (a training system called aplotaria, to protect from the wind), and yields are usually very low.
