12% alcohol. Base wine fermented in stainless steel with full malolactic fermentation. pH 3.12, TA 6.3 g/l, dosage 3 g/l (disgorged February 2022). From the abundant, warm vintage of 2018, this is a very stylish Chardonnay. It has toast, lime and orange zest on the nose with a slight chalkiness, with fruit to the fore but also some subtle apple and nut characters. The palate is refined with good acidity that integrates well into the citrus fruit core, with some peachy richness right in the background but also some chalky salinity adding poise to the fruit, and very subtle nuts and honey in the background. This is quite serious. 94/100
