One of the estates owned by Piccini, Torre Mora has 13 hectares of vines at altitudes between 600 and 700 m. It has been farmed organically since 2015, certified in 2018.

Traditional method with zero dosage, disgorged March 2023. 100% Nerello Mascalese in stainless steel, then spends 44 months on lees. Complex and lively with lovely cherry and pear fruit with warm herb and toast notes, as well as good acidity. Lovely fruit here. 91/100

Carricante in stainless steel. Lively and fresh with nice focus, showing pear and citrus fruit with some white peach. Lovely fruit expression. 91/100

Torre Morra Scalunera Etna Rosato 2022
This spends three hours on skins in press and is fermented and aged in stainless steel. Fruity and bright with pear and a touch of cherry. Primary with nice fruit. Textural. 90/100

Torre Morra Cauru Etna Rosso 2021
Juicy, fresh and bright with nice fruit and good structure. Shows cherry and raspberry fruit with good tannins and a sense of elegance. 93/100

Torre Morra Scalunera Etna Rosso 2020
This is matured in a mix of large oak casks and tonneaux. Nice weight with some structure to the vivid cherry and plum fruit. Shows nice grip. Plums, spice and a slight stony edge, demonstrating nice intensity. 94/100

Torre Mora Chiuse Vidalba Etna Rosso 2018
18 months ageing in barrique. Some oak on the nose with nuts and spice. Concentrated, powerful palate with herbs, spice and some oak, with good tannins. It’s tending to elegance but a bit oaky at the moment. 92/100
