I was judging with Rob Mack at the Hunter Valley Wine Show, and he bought one of his wines to share at dinner. I’ve written these wines up before, based on a tasting in London with his importer (here). This was lovely.
Aphelion Grenache Noir ‘Wait’ 2025 Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale, Australia
Complex and layered with nice depth, and a bit of grip. This is lovely raspberry and red cherry fruit supported by good structure. This is so beautiful, with real finesse. 95/100
