Domaine Evremond Classic Cuvée NV Edition II, Kent, England
12% alcohol. This is based on the 2021 vintage. Fine citrus on the nose with a hint of apple, with some supple toasty hints hiding in the background. The palate is bright and linear with focused lemony fruit to the fore, and keen acidity. It’s bright, lemony and vivid with real intensity. There are some complex herb and nut notes, but they are right in the back of the mix, with the lively citrus fruits dominating. Concentrated and long, with a slight sourness on the finish. This is really good, but could do with some time on cork to meld together and open out. 94/100
