Markus Altenburger Chardonnay Vom Kalk 2024 Austria
12.5% alcohol. This Burgenland Chardonnay is brilliant. It’s beautifully aromatic with some chalky lime fruit and a hint of ripe apple. The palate is ripe and rich but also has real energy and a fresh, chalky, minerally edge, as well as pear, peach and ripe apple characters. Beautiful elegance and tension here, showing depth but also elegance. This is such a lovely wine. 94/100
