This is the new non-vintage wine from Champagne Bruno Paillard. It’s an Extra Brut (below 6 g/litre dosage), and is made from 89 parcels from 30 vineyards (they own 60% of their vineyard sources, a deliberate policy), with a minimum 36 months on lees, and was disgorged June 2020. Distinctively packaged in a stylish bottle with a thinly-tapered neck (a design copied by another leading house, apparently), this is a balanced and complete wine.

12% alcohol. This shows lovely balance with some ripe peach and apple hints, lemon and herb notes, and some orange peel. It is beautifully balanced with pure fruit, and fine notes of toast and spice adding complexity on the finish. An impressive Champagne. 91/100
