Another really impressive English fizz.

Roebuck Estates Rosé de Noirs 2017 Sussex, England
12% alcohol. Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier aged for a minimum of 36 months. Pale pink in colour, this is a sweetly fruited, harmonious, delicate pink fizz with notes of ripe pear, pink grapefruit and sweet cherries, held in line with good acidity – but certainly not too much acidity. There’s a faint toastiness here that adds a little savoury depth, and also a hint of rhubarb and sour cherry on the finish. Lovely stuff. 92/100 (£42 www.roebuckestates.co.uk)
