Highlights: Les Cadrans de Lassègue Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2020
Slightly surprised to see a wine this good in the Flagship AA lounge in Dallas Fort Worth Airport. It’s the second wine from the Jackson Family Wines’ Château Lassègue. Quite delicious.

Château Lassègue Les Cadrans de Lassègue Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2020 Bordeaux, France
Deeply coloured, this has bold aromas of blackcurrant and spice, leading to a ripe, fruity palate with some spicy oak integrating nicely into the lush but well-defined black fruits, and a hint of savoury meatiness. This is an impressive effort: it’s ripe, dense and sweetly fruited, but it has nice structure and just a hint of appealing savouriness and wildness. While there’s some structure here, I wouldn’t age this but rather drink it now and over the next couple of years to enjoy the forward fruit. Great value here considering that it retails just under US$30. 93/100
