Highlights: Champagne Gosset Grande Reserve Brut NV

I really like the wines of Gosset, which with a production of 1 million bottles a year isn’t a big house, but isn’t a small one either. There’s a purity to them. I visited last back in 2016 and here’s my report. I really got on with the latest release of the Grande Reserve Brut:

Champagne Gosset Grande Reserve Brut NV France
12% alcohol. This is taut, fresh and fine with beautiful linear fruit, and just a hint of toasty complexity. Very pure with fine lemon and pear notes, finishing crisp with a good acid line. Effortless elegance here, with nice detail and finesse. Fantastic purity here. 93/100
