Wines from Emmanuel Giboulot, Bourgogne, tasted at Dynamic Vines

Dynamic Vines is a respected importer of biodynamic, organic and low-intervention wines based in Bermondsey, London. On Saturday morning they open their doors to the public. I was doing the Spa Terminus crawl and stopped in, and they were doing a tasting of wines from Emannuel Giboulot. So I was happy to taste through what was open. I’ve not tasted the Giboulot wines before, and I was impressed, especially with the whites. These are wines that transcend their lowly appellations.

Giboulot’s father was a pioneer of organic farming in Bourgogne in the 1970s. Emmanuel tried his hand at acting, then returned to the region in 1985 to establish his own organic domaine. The Maison wines are negociants, and the Domaine wines are made from his own vineyards. All are farmed biodynamically.
