2025 will go down as one of the trickiest vintages of recent years, simply because it was very hot, even by Douro standards. This is a wine region used to summer heat, but in 2025 there were 40 days over 38 C, after a wet spring. And it hardly rained at all from June. In this video from Taylor’s, one of the leading Port houses, David Guimaraens reports on how they managed in this challenging year.
