It’s getting really hard to find good wines below £15 in the UK, but Santa Tresa in Sicily seem to be very good at making delicious, affordable wines from organically grown grapes in the Vittoria region. This is a lovely wine.
Santa Tresa Ring Russa Frappato 2024 Sicily, Italy
13% alcohol. This is supple, elegant and fruity with some richness as well as sweet raspberry and strawberry fruit. Nice sleek texture with notes of dried herbs and some white pepper on the finish. This is ripe, sweetly fruited and elegant, showing freshness and a bit of crunchy tannic bite. 92/100 (£10.50 The Wine Society, Ocado, Vintage Roots)
