If you are heading to Canada’s Okanagan wine region, then there’s one restaurant I highly recommend. It’s Elma, in Penticton, in a beautiful setting on the lake front. This serves a Turkish-inspired modern middle eastern cuisine, and everything was really well executed.
I was with a large group: we were judging the National Wine Awards of Canada, based in Penticton, and we brought our own wine. The wine list here isn’t as good as the food, and it lacks many of the local highlights. With a really good wine list, this would be an amazing restaurant. Their cocktail list, however, is excellent.
Overall, this is an excellent restaurant in a beautiful setting.
