Highlights: Bedell Wines Albariño 2019 North Fork of Long Island, New York State
Website: Bedell Cellars
Bedell have been making wine on the North Fork of Long Island since 1980, and their winemaker Richard Olsen-Harbich was responsible for helping establish the appellation in 1986. This Albariño, served to me by Evan Goldstein MS in San Francisco, was really impressive.

12% alcohol. Wild ferment in stainless steel. This is pure, linear and bright with a focused lemony core and then some subtle apricot and spice notes in the mix, finishing bright and linear with a lovely tingling, expanding spicy character at the end. Really impressive with great balance and intensity. 92/100
