Umani Ronchi Fonte Del Re Lacrima di Morro d’Alba 2022 Italy
13% alcohol. Deeply coloured, this wine shows wonderful aromatics of floral red cherry and strawberry fruit with some rose petal, tar, herb and pepper notes. It’s so distinctive. In the mouth this is vivid and intense with fresh red fruits, lots of pepper spice, and more of the rose petal, lychee and tar characters creating a fresh, primary wine with a wide dynamic range. Really beautiful, in a primary, intense way. 93/100 (£15.50 Tesco in the UK)
