Wine bars: L’Enoteca, Malmö, Sweden

On a recent trip to Sweden I had some time to spare in Malmö before heading over the bridge by train for a flight home from Copenhagen. So, with a couple of colleagues, I checked out L’Enoteca wine bar, a short distance from the station.
It’s a nice space, and has a wide selection of really interesting wines, all of which are available by the glass if you ask – the staff will open them, and pour you a generous glassful, at fair prices.
The selection is broad, and veers in the low intervention/natural direction, but this is more a place for interesting wine than it is a natural wine bar. A great place to drink wine. I had two glasses:
Domaine Courbet Trousseau de la Vallée 2021 Côtes de Jura, France
12% alcohol. Organic. Juicy and supple with some herbal elements as well. Nice white pepper, plum and cherry characters, offering elegance but also a little tannic bite. Very fine and expressive, with nice green hints. 93/100
Vignoble du Chânt d’Oiseaux Orléans 2019 Loire, France
Edouard Montigny has made this wine from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, from the little-known OAC of Orléans. This is supple with a sweet core of cherry and raspberry fruit with some green hints and nice intensity. Has a bit of grip and nice spicy bite on the finish. Satisfying and with nice purity. 93/100
