Julien Cruchandeau began managing a domaine in Bouzeron in 2001, after finishing his studies. He began his own domaine in 2003 when he bought four parcels of Aligoté, totalling 0.7 hectares. He moved his domaine up to the Hautes Côtes when he bought a house with a cellar in Chaux, four years later. But the domaine was small, and he supplemented his income with a second career, as a musician. Big in the EDM scene he toured from 2004-2010, before devoting himself full time to wine. He remains a big champion of Aligoté, and this is a brilliant wine.

12.5% alcohol. From old vines at least 60 years old, farmed organically. Lovely aromatics here with gently honeyed citrus and pear fruit. The palate shows a lovely mineral dimension with great purity. Crystalline and fresh, and beautifully transparent. Beautiful stuff. 94/100
