This is a beautiful Barolo, that I had with some good wine friends at Manteca, off the list. It was served blind, and lived up to the producer’s considerable reputation.

So fine, supple and elegant with lovely pure red cherry and berry fruits. Supple and expressive with some structure and hints of aniseed, leather and iodine, but stays pure all the way through, showing great finesse. Supple and elegant, and really fine. 97/100
