Highlights: Comando G Navatalgordo 2022

Comando G Navatalgordo 2022 Cebreros, Sierra de Gredos, Spain
13% alcohol. Garnacha from sandy granitic soils, 50-80 years old. This village-level Comando G wine is from the highest vineyards in the Gredos, and this was the first time this wine was made. Whole cluster with 40-45 days maceration, aged in concrete and foudre. Wonderful aromatics of sweet cherries and berries with some ginger and cinnamon spicy notes as well as hints of liquorice and leather. The palate is vibrant and juicy with good acidity under a core of sweet, silky cherries and plums. Focused and fresh with a nice grippy finish and good acidity. Amazing elegance and precision here, and it should age well. 95/100
