Highlights: Roebuck Rosé de Noirs 2018 Sussex, England

I’m a big fan of English fizz house Roebuck, whose wines I’ve reviewed here before a few times (here, here and here). This is another good one, just released.

Roebuck Rosé de Noirs 2018 Sussex, England
12% alcohol
£42 Roebuck
This is a blend of 78% Pinot Noir and 17% Pinot Meunier from the Estate’s Roebuck, Roman Villa and Little Brockhurst vineyards in West Sussex.  5% Pinot Precoce is blended in as a red wine to give colour. Dosage is 6 g/litre. Pale pink this is superbly refined with lovely citrus (lemon, mandarin) and cherry flavours . There’s a touch of apple and some slight saltiness. Nice tartness but it’s not at all angular with lovely harmony and just a hint of toastiness, finishing with raspberry tang. 94/100
