Video: Martinelli’s Jackass vineyard, planted before 1889, and one of California’s oldest
This short film was taken in July when I visited the Jackass vineyard and Jackass Hill vineyard (right next door) of Martinelli. Very old Zinfandel vines that look like trees. Martinelli bought Jackass in 1889 and it was already planted. They planted Jackass Hill in 1892. Here’s a report on the visit.
